About Us

The Scottish Association of Motor Sports Clubs (SAMSC) is one of 13 Regional Associations through which Motorsport UK provides guidance and support to recognised motorsport clubs. Our role as a Regional Association is to support our member clubs, to promote the sport, and to facilitate the training of volunteers.

We represent 50 clubs, the majority of which are based in Scotland. Through our representatives at the Motorsport UK Regional Committee and Motor Sports Council we provide a direct link to the governing body.

Our website includes a comprehensive calendar of motorsport events across Scotland together with links to all the major championships and contact details for all our member clubs. In association with the Scottish Motorsport Marshals Club and with the generous support of the British Motorsport Trust we organise a comprehensive training programme for marshals, officials and medical and recovery personnel, details of which are on our website www.motorsport.scot .

About Us

The club holds around thirty competitive events of various types, and another dozen non-competitive days out. We host events jointly with other clubs and organisations, and attend a wide range of other inter-club events, such as the 3-day National Rally. It is possible to enjoy off-road motor sports with the Club virtually every weekend of the year. We offer driver and marshalls training, including the use of 2-way radios, safety and vehicle recovery. Our twice a year magazine keeps you all up to date, and you can join in on the chat on our forum and Facebook page.

We reckon we are the best value and probably one of the cheapest forms of motor sports.

Certainly we are the most adventurous and exciting. Events are held all over South and Central Scotland , with occasional forays further North.

About Us

SMMC is one of the leading ‘four-wheel’ motorsport marshalling clubs in the UK with widespread membership.

We are the only Club in Scotland which is dedicated exclusively to motor sport marshalling in all its disciplines.

Our members have evolved into two main specialisms: dedicated rescue crews and radio teams, providing services to the majority of motorsport events, whether these are special stage rallies, speed events or circuit races.

Regardless of speciality, we all have a common desire to provide a high quality service to improve the safety of competitors, officials and spectators.

We’re not just close to the action... we’re PART of it!

About Us

The Scottish Off Road Club Ltd cover many of the Cross Country driving disciplines. We are a very friendly bunch with many differing interests and many interesting backgrounds. Unlike other areas of Motorsport where a club will exist for one discipline, such as rallying, tarmac, hill climbs, etc, we cover many. More details can be found on our website - www.sorc.org.uk where we also have a forum used by many people for running their events. Our members take part in the events which interest them, help at some others and have a great social side out-with the events.

Many of our members have rally radios for use at Motorsport events and help out at many other clubs events over the year seeing some fantastic sights, we are also rumoured to have more radio amateurs than some local radio clubs!

About Us

SELOC began life in November 2002 when a number of active Lotus owners decided there was a need for a global internet based Lotus Enthusiasts club. In the first six months we had over 2,000 members join. In the first year we had over 750 members attend an event.

Now into our 16th year with 1374 Club Supporters and over 25,000 members.

SELOC is proud to be a member of the MSA. The club is run by its members and for its members.

We have members all over the UK, Europe and Rest of the World

We welcome anyone who either has a Lotus or is just an enthusiast. Although our membership has a majority of Elise owners all marques will be warmly welcomed at our various meets & events. We do ask that you drive sensibly and responsibly as well as with-in your own limits and the law if attending an event.

We offer a wide range of social events such as track days, karting, regular evening and day runs and social events throughout the UK and into Europe. By pulling together so many Lotus owners we are able to negotiate club discounts with a number of suppliers and organisations.

We ran our first club sprint in Feb'04 and have now set up and are running the SELOC BMW Challenge - a race series for club members racing BMW E30's. www.selocmotorsport.com

We have also been active in raising money for a number of charities raising £2,500 for Red Nose Day in March 2003. In August 2003 we also held the first Lotus London to Brighton charity run raising over £15,000 for a number of charities.

We continue to raise money for various charities including Little Havens Childrens Hospice & Help for Heros.

A vast array of events and activities taking place at the central finishing venue
Huge on-line auction offering a variety of goods, services and products
and much much more….

The event is officially recognised and endorsed by Tommy’s, the national baby charity, www.tommys.org , the beneficiary of funds raised in the UK by this year’s event.

About Us

Sevenoaks District Motor Club was founded in 1954. The club is one of the larger MSA affiliated motoring clubs in the country with a membership of approximately 300. Our members have ranged from people involved in the lowest level of club motorsport to the likes of Patrick Watts, former Peugeot BTCC Works Driver, and Vic Elford who carried our badge on his helmet all over the world while racing in F1 and Sports Cars.

The club is actively involved in most aspects of motorsport. We organise our own sprint championship, summer autotest series and autosolos, while co-promoting rallies and social events with other local clubs.
There is something for everybody whether you wish to compete or help out with marshalling or administration.

We publish a monthly magazine called the Acorn. This typically has a topical cover and B/W photos inside. The Acorn contains regular competition updates, news from the social scene, articles submitted by members, and members` adverts.
It is also published on the Sevenoaks website in colour and you are invited to contribute to our "Fast Talk" forum chat pages.

Our social events are very popular with a wide array of activities and other entertainment. We meet at The Bell in Kemsing on the third Wednesday of every month, but sometimes we "play away" so check with us first!

Shenington Kart Racing Club

Club Information

Member Type Kart Club
Year Club Established 1960

About Us

Racing started at Shenington (Edgehill Airfield) in February 1960 and at first the local club was called Banbury Kart Club, inaugurated in 1959 and holding that first meeting. Five thousand spectators came to see the twenty or thirty drivers competing, in those days there were not so many demands on leisure time. During 1960 and 1961 the club held rounds of the first World Championship which had its final round in Nassau, Bahamas, the other rounds were in Italy and USA.

Nowadays Shenington is one of the UK's premier kart circuits, holding rounds of the British Kart Championship. It has around 300 members and holds 8 - 10 club championship rounds per year, usually on the third Sunday each month. See www.sheningtonkrc.co.uk
