Knowledge Checks are required as part of your 2027 licence renewal.They’re multiple-choice questions covering the key processes and regulations relevant to your role, helping you refresh your knowledge for the season ahead.Before starting, read the relevant chapter(s) of the National Competition Rules (NCRs). You can refer to them during your Knowledge Check.For extra support, watch the Knowledge Check webinar on the Motorsport UK website or Learning Hub.If you hold multiple Officials Licences, you’ll need to complete the relevant Knowledge Check for each grade.Trainee, Assistant and Probationary grades don’t need to complete a Knowledge Check, but are welcome to have a go.

Where is the main menu on my profile?
If you are using a desktop computer, the menu will appear down the left-hand side of the screen after you have selected ‘View Profile‘
If you are using a mobile device, select ‘View Profile‘ on your account dashboard, you will now see a drop-down menu at the top of the page.
Where can I add/change my photo?
Profile/ID photos can be managed by selecting ‘View Profile’ on your account dashboard, and then ‘Edit Profile‘.
Please note – Photo’s must be passport-style headshots, free of obstructions like hats and sunglasses.
Where do I view my current or previous licence(s)?
Once you have opened the main menu on your profile, please select ‘Officials Licences‘. Here you will find a list of all your Current and Lapsed licence grades, to begin a renewal, simply click on the licence grade.
My licence is listed as 'Current', how do I renew?
Once we have launched our renewals window, a ‘Current’ licence can be renewed for the following year. To start this process simply click on the green ‘Current’ symbol next to your licence, and follow the on-screen steps.
When will I receive my new digital licence?
Our system will automatically send new digital licence cards just before the start of the new year. You will receive a separate digital licence for each grade that you hold. If your due to receive a physical licence card, this will be printed and sent straight away.
How do I know that my licence has been renewed?
If you have completed the application process, you will notice that the expiry date of your chosen Official Licence or Marshal Registration is now dated 31/12/2027.
Does my licence type require a Knowledge Check?
Your invitation to renew email should contain confirmation on whether you are required to complete a knowledge check. If you’re unsure, log in to the Learning Hub to see if you have any outstanding Knowledge Check modules, or use our handy Knowledge Check Quiz for a quick answer.
How do I access the Learning Hub?
You can access the Learning Hub from your Sport:80 account. Click the menu icon in the top-left corner and select Learning Hub. It will open in a new window, and you won’t need to sign in again.
If you’re a new member, make sure your Personal Information is fully completed first. The Learning Hub won’t be available until this is complete.
I cannot see the correct Knowledge Check module, what should I do?
If you have any questions about which courses you need to complete, or problems with accessing the correct Learning Hub material, please send a quick email to [email protected] and the team will look into this for you.
I hold multiple Officials Licence grades. Do I need to complete multiple Knowledge Checks?
Yes. If you hold more than one licence grade and each has a Knowledge Check requirement, you’ll need to complete the relevant Knowledge Check for each grade you wish to renew for 2027.
Where can I find a record of my completed Knowledge Checks, assessments and courses in Sport:80?
You can easily view your completed learning in your Sport:80 account. Simply open the main menu and select Online Learning to see a record of your completed Knowledge Checks, assessments and courses.
