Motorsport UK recognises that motor clubs are the backbone of UK motorsport and is committed to aiding their development through a variety of resources and initiatives:
Taster & Entry-Level Competitions
To help encourage newcomers, Motorsport UK offers a Taster Event permit, under which all competitors are deemed to be club members for the day. This allows clubs to run events for members of the public, making it as easy as possible for them to get their first taste of competitive grassroots motor sport from behind the wheel. Motorsport UK-registered clubs are permitted to run one such event per year in each discipline for public and non-club members. Please click here for further information.
British Motorsport Trust Grants
Motorsport runs on passion – but it’s protected by safety systems you don’t always see.
The British Motorsport Trust funds the foundations that keep motorsport safe. The BMT Safety Grant provides financial contributions that aid the community in rolling out safety improvements across all disciplines that comply with Motorsport UK requirements and regulations and providing Rescue Unit Support.
Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their proposal will create a lasting impact and support the continued development of safety standards within motorsport.
Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Registration
If your club is eligible, you can become a community amateur sports club (CASC) and benedit from tax relief on income, gains and profits from some activities, gift aid repayments on donations and business rates relief. To see if your club is eligible please refer to the link below.
