The opening SuperChamps season of 2026 delivered close racing, dramatic championship battles and standout performances across Daytona Motorsport’s venues at Milton Keynes, Tamworth and Sandown Park.

The championship forms part of the Motorsport UK Recognised Karting Pathway, providing competitors with a clear opportunity to continue developing their skills through competitive outdoor arrive-and-drive karting. Daytona Motorsport’s place within the pathway reflects Motorsport UK’s commitment to creating accessible progression routes and supporting drivers as they take their next steps in the sport.

Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes produced some of the closest championship battles of the SuperChamps season, including a DMAX Lightweight title decided by a single point.

Lewis Bowey secured the SODI Lightweight championship after a consistently strong campaign, finishing 15 points ahead of Zachary Smith, with Aston Tempany-McColm completing the top three. In SODI Heavyweight, Charlie Fenton claimed the title by ten points from Harry Fenton, while Lee Robson rounded out the championship podium.

The DMAX Lightweight battle went down to the wire, with Jacob Csepreghi edging Dawid Sniezko by just one point to take the title. Freddie Burden finished third after a consistent campaign. Peter Stockwin secured the DMAX Heavyweight crown by 23 points from Freddie Jenkins, with Harry Thrower completing the top three.

Tamworth

Tamworth delivered another fiercely competitive season, with close championship contests across both the N35-ST and DMAX categories.

Harry Fitch secured the N35-ST Lightweight crown by 11 points from Noah Johnson following a campaign that included two round sweeps, while Joseph Smith finished third. James Stevenson took the Heavyweight title by 12 points from Dylan Morrall, with Caelan Wilson completing the championship podium.

The DMAX categories produced some of Tamworth’s closest racing. Harry Thomas came out on top in Lightweight following a season-long battle with Jake Garret, sealing the championship with victory in the Final. Reuben Potter secured third in his first season in the DMAX division after progressing from InKart.

Just eight points separated Luke Mallard and James Estrop in DMAX Heavyweight, with Mallard ultimately securing the title following a closely fought campaign. Stuart Corr completed the championship podium after a strong second half of the season.

Sandown Park

Sandown Park brought the opening SuperChamps season to a dramatic conclusion, with all four championships still to be decided heading into the Final Round.

Frederic Navarro delivered under pressure in SODI Lightweight, combining victory with the fastest lap in the Final to secure the championship ahead of Indy Welch and Sarah Telford. In SODI Heavyweight, James Jeram completed a consistently strong campaign with victories in both the opening Heat and Final, securing the title ahead of Michael Herm and Harrison Fullerton-Craske.

Ellis McKenzie’s consistency proved decisive in DMAX Lightweight, securing the championship despite Adam Palmer taking victory in the Final. George Lawlor finished runner-up in the standings, with Palmer completing the top three.

William Tidnam rounded off a dominant DMAX Heavyweight campaign with victory in the Final, securing the championship ahead of Alfie Shrubb and Mikhail Sitnikov.

Across Milton Keynes, Tamworth and Sandown Park, the opening SuperChamps season highlighted the competitive opportunities available through Daytona Motorsport and the Motorsport UK Recognised Karting Pathway. Close title fights, developing talent and drivers progressing through the karting pathway demonstrated the depth of competition across all three venues.
