Motorsport UK is saddened to learn that Rod Marshment, former Chief Flag Marshal for MSVR, died recently.
Rod was one of the original officials to move over to MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) from the British Racing Drivers’ Club at MSVR’s inception in 2006. He fulfilled the role of Chief Flags for them for many years, before moving into the role of Safety Car Observer. Rod also held the role of Chief Flags at the British Grand Prix for several years.
Rod dedicated many years of his life to motorsport. He travelled all over the country with MSVR and was a kind soul with a great sense of humour. He will be missed by everyone he worked alongside but is now reunited with his beloved Jill.
