Volunteer renewals are now open for the 2027 season, inviting marshals and officials across the country to return and help make motorsport happen, together.
Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring motorsport happens safely, fairly and successfully across the UK. Whether supporting one event or many throughout the season, every marshal and official brings their time, knowledge and enthusiasm to the sport.
Beyond the important roles they carry out, volunteering brings people together through a shared passion for motorsport. It’s an opportunity to build friendships, develop skills and enjoy experiences that extend well beyond an event weekend.
Those renewing for 2027 will continue to have access to support and resources through Motorsport UK, including insurance, training and development, safeguarding support, member benefits and the Motorsport UK Knowledge Hub.
Some officials will also need to complete a Knowledge Check as part of their renewal. Designed as a helpful opportunity to refresh knowledge and make sure officials are up to date ahead of the new season, additional guidance and support is available through the Motorsport UK website and Learning Hub.
New to motorsport volunteering?
For anyone thinking about volunteering in motorsport for the first time, 2027 is an opportunity to get involved and become part of the community that makes our sport possible.
Whether you’re already involved in motorsport or completely new to the sport, everyone is welcome to give volunteering a go and discover the different roles available. With training and development pathways available, volunteers can build their knowledge, skills and experience as they get more involved.
Motorsport UK would like to thank every marshal and official for the time, knowledge and experience they have given to the sport throughout 2026.
However much time you’re able to give in 2027, we’d love to have you with us for another year. Here’s to another year of making motorsport happen, together.
