The opening InKart season of 2026 delivered memorable racing, dramatic championship battles and standout performances across Daytona Motorsport’s venues at Milton Keynes, Tamworth and Sandown Park.
The championship forms part of the recently expanded Motorsport UK Recognised Karting Pathway, with Daytona Motorsport becoming the latest recognised route into competitive outdoor arrive-and-drive karting. The recognition reflects Motorsport UK’s commitment to broadening participation and creating clearer progression routes for aspiring competitors, while acknowledging the important role Daytona’s championships play in developing young talent.
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes produced two of the closest title battles of the season, with both championships decided by single-digit margins. Leo Sibthorpe secured the Cadet crown by just four points after edging out Teddy Mullan, while Jack Dowding claimed the Junior title by seven points ahead of Gillen Townshend following a season-long battle that went down to the final race. Charlie Marden and Daniel Maruatyak completed the respective championship podiums after consistently strong campaigns.
Tamworth
Tamworth showcased both consistency and outright dominance. Jack Mills claimed the Cadet Championship with four round victories from eight meetings, while Tyler Shanks produced one of the performances of the season in Juniors, recording five clean sweeps despite missing the opening round. Archie Beswick finished runner-up through remarkable consistency, while Noah Fortune claimed third after a tie-break with Jayden Baker.
Sandown Park
The final meeting of the season provided a fitting finale, with both championships remaining fiercely contested. Jack Candasamy secured the Junior title by just five points from Sebastian Mejer, while Jenson Fuller rounded off an outstanding campaign by taking victory in the final race of the season to seal the Cadet championship. With close finishes and championship-deciding performances throughout the day, Sandown Park brought another competitive InKart season to an exciting conclusion.
