Keeping everyone safe and supported within our clubs is a shared responsibility. These latest safeguarding updates are designed to help build confidence, improve awareness, and ensure Club Safeguarding Officers and members have the knowledge and support they need to respond to concerns effectively.

  1. Introduction to Safeguarding Adults, hosted in collaboration with INEQE

Safeguarding adults is an important part of creating a safe and inclusive club environment for everyone.

Earlier this year, we hosted a webinar in collaboration with INEQE for Club Safeguarding Officers, focusing on raising awareness of adult safeguarding, how it differs from safeguarding children, and what this means in practice for our clubs.

We’re planning to run another session later this year, and would like to open it up to all members who would benefit from building their knowledge and confidence in this area. If you’d like to register your interest, please click here and we’ll share further details in due course.

  1. On-Call Service for Club Safeguarding Officers

We would also like to remind all club members that CSOs have access to an on-call safeguarding provision. This out-of-hours service is available for reporting or seeking advice on serious safeguarding concerns, with a member of the safeguarding team on call outside of normal office hours.

This support is provided specifically for CSOs, so if you have any questions about how the service works, please speak with your CSO or contact the Safeguarding Team directly.
