British Truck Racing Championship continues with sustainable fuels drive…

Wednesday 16 April 2025

The British Truck Racing Championship has renewed its commitment to using a more sustainable fuel for the 2025 season.

One of the biggest categories in the UK, the BTRC sees machines weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp, take to the track.

Becoming one of the first championships in the United Kingdom to commit to solely using sustainable fuel, the super-sized series will again ensure that all competitors power their machines on Renewable Diesel (HVO), with fuel to be distributed to teams and drivers at all seven events this year.

Made from 100% renewable and sustainable feedstocks, Renewable Diesel (HVO) can achieve a net 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, it is a safe and easy alternative that can be used in place of conventional diesel without having to make any engine modifications.

This is the second year of the partnership with Silvey Fleet, a leading fuel card and fleet management solutions provider, and BWOC Ltd, one of the UK’s largest fuel suppliers.

Motorsport UK has a comprehensive Sustainability Strategy that acts as a roadmap to guide our journey to net zero.

The 2025 British Truck Racing Championship commences at Brands Hatch on 19-20 April, before embarking on a further six events and 30 races at some of the country’s leading venues. Find out more about BTRC sustainability here.
