All eyes are on the Brits abroad this weekend as the motorsport action gets underway for a new season of electric racing, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Saudi Arabia. After competing in a series of challenges, our UK Finalists travel to Germany for the FIA Rally Star European Final. While in America, 27 British drivers will compete for the class and overall race win at the 60^th Rolex 24 at Daytona event.

ABB FIA Formula E World Championship – Diriyah, Saudi Arabia

Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship begins with a double-header in Diriyah and will see the competitive debut of the new “Champions league style” qualifying format.

Six British drivers will be competing for the title this season, with Jaguar TCS Racing’s Sam Bird heading up the group looking to maintain his record of racing in every E-Prix since the series’ inception.

You can watch the biggest season to date, featuring 16 races in 12 of the world’s most iconic cities across Channel 4 platforms, with coverage of the second race on Saturday broadcast from 16:30 GMT.

FIA Rally Star European Final – Estering, Germany

Eighty-nine young talents, including four UK competitors, have travelled to Germany for the FIA Rally Star European Final. They will have the opportunity to show they have what it takes to be a future World Rally Championship winner.

Rolex 24 at Daytona – Daytona Beach, Florida

More than 20 Brits are among those racing for glory in the 60^th 24-hour race, driving some of the coolest cars across five categories making up a 61-car grid, including Motorsport UK Academy drivers such as Team UK’s Sandy Mitchell. Motorsport UK Academy graduates Alex Lynn, Will Steven, James Calado, Harry Tincknell, Nick Yelloly and Ben Barnicoat also feature in the biggest Rolex 24 field in eight years.
