#MoveForYourMind – Mental Health Awareness Week 2021
To mark Mental Health Awareness Week (10-16 May), Motorsport UK is highlighting ways in which the community’s shared passion for motorsport and the positive energy it provides can help us stay active and contribute to good mental health.
This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is Nature and how connecting with the natural world can support good mental health.
As part of its ongoing commitment to participant welfare, the national governing body is encouraging its members to ‘Move For Your Mind.’ This can be through competing on a motorsport event, running the distance of your favourite rally stage, walking the length of your favourite circuit or trials section, or maybe cycling the length of a touring car race.
If you wish to take part, please share your activities and photographs using the hashtags #MoveForYourMind and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek.
Anyone who wishes to donate to the mental health charity, Mind, can do so by clicking here.
For mental health resources, or for more information on Mental Health Awareness Week please visit MIND or the Mental Health Foundation.
