Friday 23 October 2026

The 2026 Motorsport UK British Rally Championship reaches its conclusion this Saturday (24 October), with Max McRae, Osian Pryce and Meirion Evans all in contention for the title at the Lewis & Hunter Cambrian Rally in North Wales.

After five closely contested scoring rounds, the championship heads into its finale on gravel, with nine stages awaiting competitors, including the renowned Clocaenog and Brenig forests.

McRae leads the standings following victories on the Jim Clark Rally and at Rali Ceredigion. Alongside co-driver Cameron Fair, the 22-year-old will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, Alister, who claimed the British Rally Championship title in 1995.

Pryce, the 2022 champion, is chasing a second title alongside James Morgan, having secured victories on the Severn Valley Stages and Grampian Forest Rally. Meanwhile, Evans and co-driver Dale Furniss remain firmly in contention following a consistent season and victory on the second day of Rali Ceredigion.

Junior BRC and other titles to be decided

The Junior British Rally Championship will also be decided at the Cambrian, with defending champion Ben McFall and Luke Constantine going head-to-head for the title.

While Aoife Raftery has already secured the BRC3 drivers’ championship and Alfie Hammond has claimed the National Rally Title, both categories still have co-driver titles up for grabs.

Starting from Llandudno seafront, the Cambrian Rally promises a fitting finale to the season, bringing together competitors, teams, officials and volunteers as the 2026 champions are crowned.
