Dries Van Langendonck secured the 2026 Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, title at Brands Hatch on Saturday 10th October, with a second-place finish in the opening race of the weekend enough to seal the Drivers’ Championship with two races to spare.

The 16-year-old Belgian arrived at the season finale with a commanding 72-point lead in the standings and lined up second on the grid alongside pole-sitter Theo Palmer. A controlled drive to second place around the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit secured the title and 12 FIA Super Licence points.

The Rodin Motorsport driver has been the benchmark throughout much of the season, claiming eight race victories, four further podium finishes and four pole positions on his way to the championship.

A member of the McLaren Driver Development Programme, Van Langendonck joins a list of British F4 champions that includes Formula 1 driver Lando Norris.

Reflecting on his title success, Van Langendonck said: “I’m so happy to be able to call myself British F4 Champion – it’s been a truly amazing year. As a team we have done a great job and although we encountered a few difficult moments, we pulled through and now here we are.

“Given the position that we were in coming into the weekend I didn’t feel too much pressure, however there was still a job to be done. We managed to secure a spot on the front row in qualifying and then it was about bringing it home behind Theo (Palmer) in race one.

“I’ve got to say a massive thank you to everyone at Rodin Motorsport, they’ve been fantastic throughout the season. I’ve also got to say a huge thank you to McLaren and my family for their incredible support.”

Van Langendonck’s championship victory marks a significant achievement in his young racing career, with his eight wins and consistent podium performances securing one of the leading titles on the FIA single-seater ladder. He also went on to secure the Rookie Cup, completing a successful season with Rodin Motorsport.
