As 2024 draws to a close, it’s been an incredible year for our Motorsport UK Academy current cohort, and recent graduates, with championship titles galore across the country – and further afield.

Enhanced DiSE

Seventeen-year-old Mikey Porter is the 2024 British GT4 Silver Champion, following an intense title-showdown at Brands Hatch behind the wheel of his Aston Martin Vantage.

Ethan Jeff-Hall, winner of the Ginetta Junior Championship in his rookie year, is certainly making a name for himself. The 16-year-old driver has recently secured a £50,000 scholarship prize towards his 2025 GB4 campaign and won the FIA OK World Kart Championship Finals at PFI, Lincolnshire in just his 2nd race with the team.

Oskar Dix took the spoils after securing two wins at Brands Hatch in front of a sold-out crowd. The Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Clubsport Pro Champion completed his remarkable form for the season which has seen him finish on the podium 16 times out of a possible 18.

Henry Howarth became the Airtec Motorsport Fiesta ST240 Am Class Champion in his first motorsport season, an incredible result for the JamSport Racing team member.

Finn Leslie was crowned the Fiesta Junior MK7 Champion while in his first year of racing, held at Silverstone in October.

 

Futures

Already tipped for the top, Freddie Slater cemented his credentials as one of the world’s hottest young prospects by winning the 2024 Italian F4 Championship. Freddi sealed the deal in Barcelona with his 13th win of an extraordinary campaign, equalling the record set by Mercedes F1 bound Kimi Antonelli. Slater was also crowned the F4 UAE Champion.

Zac Meakin was crowned British GT4 Champion at Brands Hatch, overturning a 3.5-point deficit to claim a fourth win of the season.

Will Orton was named British GT4 Pro-Am Vice-Champion during the same weekend, driving a Vantage GT4 for Forsetti.

Max Hall secured his maiden victory in the Mini Challenge JCW Rookie Cup during the opening race of the weekend at Brands Hatch.

Theo Micouris is the 2024 Ligier JS P4 European Champion. Theo had a strong start, winning his first two races and taking a clean sweep at Barcelona. He went on to rack up an incredible three wins, nine podiums, seven fastest laps and six lap records within the 11 races.

Reza Seewooruthun took bronze in the F4 discipline during the final day of the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games. Currently in his second year of the Motorsport UK Academy, Reza took to the circuit off the back of a season in the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA.

 

Team UK

Sandy Mitchell was the British GT3 Vice-Champion alongside team-mate Alex Martin in their No78 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo 2.

Adam Smalley claimed his sixth British GT3 Silver-Am class victory of the 2024 British GT Championship season, and with that secured the class title with two race weekends still left to run in July of this year. Adam also won the Silverstone 500, securing the prestigious RAC trophy.

Sam Neary was the British GT3 Silver-Am Vice-Champion behind the wheel of his Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo alongside father Richard Neary.

2024 British Rallycross Champion Patrick O’Donovan wasted no time making his mark by winning the opening round of this year’s Euro RX1 at Höljes in Sweden. The 20-year-old, is contesting his second full season in the FIA European Rallycross Championship’s top tier after finishing a fine third on debut in 2023.

 

Graduates

Ricky Collard (Team UK) claimed the British GT3 crown, the second father-son pairing to take the title alongside dad Rob. 2024 was Ricky’s first campaign.

From sim racer to winning the coveted ROKiT British F4 Championship title at world famous Silverstone, record-breaking Deagen Fairclough (Enhanced DiSE) is the latest e-sports graduate to make a super-successful switch from virtual to real world racing.  Now in his second F4 season, Fairclough has dominated in 2024 not only becoming the first driver to seal the title before the season finale but also winning an unprecedented number of races.

Harry Hickton produced a sensational performance to win the 2024 Vertu Motors Mini Challenge trophy in a thrilling finale at Brands Hatch. The 18-year-old driver was second in the standings before the event.

Seb Hopkins (Enhanced DiSE) has been competing with Team Parker Racing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. A successful season saw him take the podium as Porsche Sprint Challenge GB RS Pro Champion.

Ronnie Smith (DiSE graduate) marked himself out as one to watch, with an impressive performance in the opening race of the season at Snetterton which saw him podium as the Mini Challenge Trophy Rookie Champion.

Chris Ingram (Team UK) blasted his Volkswagen Polo GTi through the challenging Lancashire lanes at the Legend Fires North West Stages, securing his maiden BRC win.
