Motorsport UK commemorates Remembrance Sunday
Motorsport UK continues in its commitment to provide ongoing support to the Armed Forces community, through UK motorsport. In March of this year, Motorsport UK the signed the Armed Forces Covenant, committing the organisation to give its ongoing support to the Armed Forces Community.
By signing the Covenant, Motorsport UK officially recognises the value Service personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to the motorsport community and to the United Kingdom, in addition to providing opportunities for members of the Armed Forces to join volunteer schemes and gain access to unique motorsport experiences.
The covenant also acknowledges support pledged to the Race of Remembrance initiative, run by Mission Motorsport, and Remembrance Day through development and delivery of various initiatives.
This year’s Race of Remembrance (RoR) will return on the 8-10 November 2024 for its celebratory 10th anniversary event, offering a weekend for reflection, community spirit and the chance to get involved in motorsport, from the forces charity Mission Motorsport.
Mission Motorsport will once again be partnering with the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) to deliver the 12 hour endurance race at Anglesey Circuit, Wales.
In addition, now in its 4th year, and a firm favourite in the RoR calender, Karting RoR will also return. Partnering with The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) once more, Mission Motorsport will be hosting a Service of Remembrance and endurance karting race at Thruxton Karting Centre, Hampshire.
