Table Top Rally final discipline at Motorsport UK’s inaugural grassroots motorsport festival
Table Top Rally is the final discipline at Motorsport UK’s inaugural grassroots motorsport festival StreetCar Festival on 8 September.
Led by pioneering rally organization, HERO-ERA, and supported by Blackpalfrey Motor Club the Table Top Rally exposes road rally navigators to the kinds of tips and tricks that rally organisers may use when planning a route.
It enables co drivers and drivers to practice their navigation skills without focusing on the driving. The Table Top Rally will be held out of Motorsport UK’s Headquarters.
Launched in 2022, StreetCar makes grassroots motorsport accessible, encouraging anyone to get behind the wheel of their car and join an event at their local motor club. Disciplines including Autotest, Car Trials, Cross-Country and Road Rallying can be enjoyed for minimal cost, with a standard unmodified road car and a free RS Clubman licence available online.
The StreetCar Festival will take place on 8 September, celebrating the UK’s vibrant grassroots motorsport community. Attendees will need a ticket to attend the event, with the option to take part in many of the 12 StreetCar disciplines, enjoy their first taste of motorsport and connect with Motorsport UK’s national club network.
Formed in 1965, by a group of rally enthusiasts, Blackpalfrey Motor Club is based in Maidstone and regularly organises a series of Navigational Regularity Runs, Scatter Rallies and social events.
Steve Thompson, Webmaster and StreetCar representative, comments “Blackpalfrey Motor Club has an extensive history of rallying through our club, and we are looking forward to exchanging knowledge and ideas with the UK StreetCar community during the festival. Half of the challenge of rallying is planning your route, so we hope to introduce these skills to a wider audience and introduce new people to our sport.”
