As part of the agreement, the Scottish Government is keen that Rally Scotland provides a legacy for the sport. It is anticipated that, subject to existing operational requirements and controls of FLS, events can continue to be organised. All parties will work closely with FLS to co-ordinate around their planned harvest and extraction operations on which their revenues are reliant. Rally Scotland presents an opportunity to bring greater visibility to rallying and the region’s rich rallying heritage.

Yes! Motorsport UK will work with local communities, volunteers and Clubs to deliver the Event and create a variety of opportunities for people to participate.

2027 marks 35 years since the World Rally Championship last enjoyed a day of rallying in Scotland. The event now presents an opportunity to celebrate the UK Rally community, attract a wider audience and inspire them to become the next generation of officials, volunteers and competitors, introducing them to member clubs across the country. The goal is to make this a long-term annual event, beyond the initial three-year term.
