Motorsport UK’s Inclusion Grant Programme

Motorsport UK’s new Inclusion Grant Programme has been created to diversify our sport, supporting organisations that are working to expand our licence holders. The programme provides targeted funding to help remove barriers and enable greater participation from underrepresented communities. This might be across a specific discipline, grassroots motorsport or volunteering and officiating. We want to attract a new audience and a new generation of people to the sport, empowering groups from our community to innovate ways to act.

The initiative forms a key part of Motorsport UK’s broader Inclusion Strategy, working collectively with the motorsport community to build a more representative and welcoming sport.

Organisations can apply for grants of up to £10,000. Applications are invited on an annual basis and programmes can receive funding for up to three years. Please see further details below to find out if you’re eligible.

What We Fund

We’re looking to support impactful projects that help individuals from underrepresented groups access new opportunities within motorsport. Your project could focus on:

Obtaining free or paid competition licences
Securing Esports or club memberships
Supporting training to become Motorsport UK marshals or officials

Projects must demonstrate clear goals, accountability, and alignment with our inclusion priorities.

Who Can Apply

You can apply if you are a UK-based formal organisation, such as:

A registered charity
A not-for-profit or social enterprise
A Community Interest Company (CIC)
A co-operative or community benefit society
A for-profit organisation delivering a not-for-profit initiative
An ASN-affiliated motorsport club (if not already supported by the Club Development Fund)

We do not fund individuals, emergency relief, retrospective costs, or projects already supported by other funding streams.

How to Apply

2025 applications are now closed. Applications will reopen in Summer 2026.

Include all requested information:

Eligibility checklist
Organisational and project governance details
Budget breakdown and timeline
Project and impact overviews

Applications will go through a three-stage review, including eligibility checks, committee review, and final sign-off by the Motorsport UK Board.

Timelines & Support

The application timeline is flexible to allow for intersectional and inclusive approaches. We may also invite proposals outside standard windows to respond to emerging needs.

All successful applicants will be paired with a Motorsport UK sponsor and must submit mid-year and final reports. We also ask that you help share your journey through support and success stories.
