Motorsport UK FIA Academy Trophy drivers announced
Finlay Lines (Junior) and Harrison Whitticombe (Senior) have been selected to represent Motorsport UK in the 2025 FIA Karting Academy Trophy Championship.
The FIA Karting Academy Trophy is a unique competition designed to pit the best young kart racers from around the world against each other on equal terms. Drivers are randomly assigned karts with OTK chassis and equipped with Vortex engines from the OK-Junior category, plus a controlled tyre.
Past representatives who have flown the flag for Motorsport UK have gone on to achieve great success in motorsport, Harry Bartle, 2023 participant, was the 2023 IWF IAME Junior Champion. 2020 representative, Theo Micouris was the 2024 PS Ligier European Champion. Henry Josselyn, who competed in 2022, is set compete in F4 this year and Bart Harrison, who competed in 2021, is currently racing in the Formula Winter Series.
The 2025 FIA Karting Academy Trophy will unfold over three rounds, kicking off the Junior Series in Valencia, Spain, from 15-18 May, before heading to Mulsen, Germany from 17 to 20 July and concluding in Cremona, Italy from 25 to 28 September.
In the Senior class, Portimao, Portugal, will host the opener from 1 to 4 May, before heading to Viterbo, Italy from 5 to 8 June and closing in Rodby, Denmark from 31 July to 3 August.
