The Vintage Sports Car Club tackle the Prescott Hill Climb
The Vintage Sports Car Club returned to Gloucestershire to tackle the Prescott Hill Climb, commonly known as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ in the club’s calendar. Historic car and motorsport enthusiasts flocked to the infamous hill climb circuit to witness these automotive spectacles being put through their paces and compete in the various races across the weekend.
The circuit was alive with the sound of engines from as early as pre-1941, ranging from the smaller under 750cc unsupercharged, all the way to the over 3000cc combustion engines. Sixteen classes took to the track during the event, and awards were granted to the multiple winners across the groups, including the Fastest Vintage Car award presented to Dr Robin Tuluie and the Fastest Young Driver awarded to James Crabb in his Era R12C.
It was a successful weekend for all competitors and an enjoyable return to this infamous event for the spectators.
