David Lapworth

David Lapworth is one of the world’s most respected rally engineers and is currently Technical Director at Prodrive, the motorsport and advanced engineering group based in Banbury.

In more than three decades at Prodrive David has engineered world championship-winning cars for Colin McRae, Richard Burns and Petter Solberg. He works closely with the engineering teams bringing invaluable experience and sits on a number of regulatory committees.

Within Motorsport UK, David is Chair of the Sustainability Committee, using his expertise to oversee the delivery of the Sustainability Strategy including the development and deployment of sustainable fuels and carbon offsetting.
