Team UK powered by sustainable fuels at 2024 FIA Motorsport Games
Team UK competitors in Karting, GT Sprint and Touring Car are amongst the disciplines at this year’s FIA Motorsport Games running on ETS sustainable fuels.
Haltermann Carless operate two motorsport fuel brands, ETS Racing Fuels and Carless Racing Fuels.
GT Sprint and Touring cars will be powered by a 50% sustainable fuel whilst the karting disciplines mentioned below are running a 100% sustainable fuel.
Adrian Stuart, Head of Performance Fuels Sales UK at Haltermann Carless, comments from the refuelling park at the Games, “The past few years there has been a big push towards sustainability, and motorsport in its engineering and in its very nature has been no exception. We need to all do our part and our team back at our refinery are working to design these fuels. The goal is to reduce the amount of new CO2 going back into the atmosphere.”
Recently awarded the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation, Haltermann Carless has fuelled championships for the past three decades, with sustainable fuels used at events including the British Touring Car Championship, British Rally Championship and the Hiperflo® R20 Racing Fuel at the British F4 Championship.
Ian Smith, Technical Director, Motorsport UK adds, “The move by the FIA Motorsport Games towards sustainable fuels showcases motorsport’s commitment to introducing new energies to ensure the future of our sport for generations to enjoy. We fully support the introduction of these technologies and have outlined our vision for these within our Motorsport UK Proposed Regulation Change for Consultation: Sustainable Fuels 2026, released today.”
