Team UK member Louis Foster claims Indy Pro 2000 Championship title
Louis Foster, a member of the Motorsport UK Academy’s Team UK, clinched the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires title at the weekend at Portland International Raceway.
In his first full campaign, Foster entered the season finale with a commanding 77-point and in the opening race of the weekend’s tripleheader, Foster finished first to clinch the title.
His victory delivers Exclusive Autosport their first Road to Indy Driver Championship which is paired with the Team Championship they won in 2021. Foster qualified first and then drove a calculated race to lock in the title and the scholarship that will allow him to move to Indy Lights in 2023. For Exclusive Autosport, this championship adds another prestigious accomplishment to the team’s expanding resume.
“My first year of racing in America has been challenging and at times stressful, but that’s made it all the more rewarding,” commented Foster. “I’ve met a bunch of amazingly skilled and dedicated people, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to race and live here.
“I can’t thank the Exclusive Autosport team enough for this year. They have been amazing and the series has been amazing. It’s been a great year and it is great to be here tonight to finish off the year and celebrate with my team. We have had a lot of success and I am really looking forward to stepping up to Indy Lights next year.”
