Motorsport UK, in partnership with Loughborough Car Club and the FIA Sport Grant Programme, has launched a Disabled Drivers Scholarship to make the sport more accessible for disabled participants.  

The StreetCar Disabled Drivers Scholarship expands on the successful partnership between Loughborough Car Club and Motorsport UK in introducing the sport to newcomers.  

Taking place on 11 May at Motorsport UK’s Headquarters at Bicester Motion, the day will offer a group of disabled motorsport enthusiasts a unique chance to experience the range of adaptations available to participate in an AutoSOLO. The vehicles feature flexible adaptations, including hand operated accelerator and brakes, a choice of accelerator positions, additional upper back support and a choice of steering wheels to enable participants to enjoy the thrill of car control within a regulated environment.  

All participants will undertake a series of tests designed to assess car control, determination and attitude, with the most promising drivers offered an opportunity to win a fully funded season of AutoSOLOs and access to an adapted car.
