Historically clubs have had to share a club login amongst various club members needing to access the online area. In the platform each individual’s profile will be affiliated to a club in their designated role e.g. Chair, Treasurer, Secretary etc. Initially Motorsport UK will provide access to one primary contact who will have permissions to add additional role holders to the club profile.
This can now be completed online via the platform including uploading any relevant documents to be reviewed and approved. A full video tutorial will be available shortly via our platform video hub – https://www.motorsportuk.org/sport80-videos/
When logged in to the platform using your club role, under the permits sections you will find a ‘permit new event’ button. You can follow the video available here to demonstrate how to apply for your permit.
Permits that were fully approved prior to the platform launch have been migrated across into the new platform and should already be available to view within your club profile.
Rather than sharing a club login, all role holders will now be able to easily switch between their personal and club profiles once logged into the account linked to their email address.
Discount codes of equal value to any remaining credit will be issued by our Finance Team, and can be used against the cost of future permits.
One of the new features established in the platform is tracking the approved venues and their use. We have imported the most commonly used venues into the platform to ensure they are recorded in a consistent way. If you are using an existing recognised venue it will be available from the drop down list. If you are using a venue that is not already recognised or approved you will be asked to make a manual venue entry. Our team will then get a notification to approve and add this venue for the future. This is all part of improving our understanding of venue use and the ensuring the continued health and viability of our motorsport venues.
Please email competitionsandclubs@motorsportuk.org confirming the permit number and reason for cancellation and we will cancel the permit for you. If a Motorsport UK Steward has been appointed to the event please notify them directly.
