Rotax Max Official RMC Mini and Micro Grand Festival and Motorsport UK E plate to take place at Warden Law

Motorsport UK is delighted to announce that, following the introduction of the Rotax Micro Max and Mini Max 950 categories as part of the 2023 Kart Class restructure, Motorsport UK have been selected, in conjunction with Warden Law, as the promoters for the 2024 Rotax Max Official RMC Mini and Micro Grand Festival. This will be the first British venue to host the event. 

This prestigious event will be held at the Karting North East Kart Centre near Sunderland from September 20 to 22, 2024, conveniently located close to Newcastle International airport and the ports of Sunderland and Tyne, in addition to major rail and road networks. Testing prior to the event is possible – further details plus paddock space and pit bay reservation, travel info and links will be on the website – www.wardenlawmotorsports.com   

Following the success of the Rotax Grand Festival over the years, young drivers will have the chance to experience competitive racing within an international field, developing their race skills at another level. With the racing live streamed throughout the weekend, the Rotax community from around the world can tune in to watch all the closely fought track action on YouTube. 

The venue provides the ideal setting for drivers from all over the world to compete for the coveted 2024 Rotax Grand Finals tickets, scheduled to be held in Sarno, Italy, in October. Along with the RGF tickets in the Mini and Micro Classes, Rotax will also be offering fantastic prizes, including engines for top-finishing privateers. The event will run under RMC Global regulations and benefit from the use of control fuel and parc fermé tyres to ensure a fair playing field for competitors. 

Enhancing the event’s integrity and safety, on-track CCTV will be utilised, and Motorsport UK will provide its usual in race management systems. Our streaming partners, Alpha Live, will ensure live streaming throughout the entire weekend, allowing the Rotax community the opportunity to follow the action from anywhere in the world. 

In addition to the Rotax Festival, the event will also feature races for the coveted Motorsport UK E plate. This will extend to the Rotax Junior and Senior Classes, where the winner in the Senior Class will also win a coveted DD2 Grand Finals ticket, granting them the honour of representing Team UK in Italy in October. 

The RMC Grand Festival 2024 categories and age limits:   

Rotax 125 Micro MAX – 8 to 11 years  (2012 – 2015)  

Rotax 125 Mini MAX – 10 to 13 years (2010 – 2013) 

Motorsport UK E plate for Classes: **Junior Max/ **Senior Max  

Licence: *ASN National licence for Mini and Micro and min of **Motorsport UK Interclub for Junior and senior licence – ages as per Motorsport UK NCRs
