Race of Remembrance returns for celebratory 10th anniversary weekend
Race of Remembrance (RoR) will return on the 8-10 November 2024 for its celebratory 10th anniversary event, offering a weekend for reflection, community spirit and the chance to get involved in motorsport, from the forces charity Mission Motorsport.
The weekend’s activities are open to anybody who wishes to commemorate the Remembrance weekend and participate in a poignant pitlane Service of Remembrance, live-streamed from the Anglesey Circuit Track.
Mission Motorsport will once again be partnering with the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) to deliver the 12 hour endurance race at Anglesey Circuit, Wales.
In addition, now in its 4th year, and a firm favourite in the RoR calender, Karting RoR will also return. Partnering with The British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) once more, Mission Motorsport will be hosting a Service of Remembrance and endurance karting race at Thruxton Karting Centre, Hampshire.
James Cameron, CEO, Mission Motorsport said, “In March, Motorsport UK signed the Armed Forces Covenant, celebrating and underpinning the connection between motorsport and the Armed Forces community. With events being held across the country, we are so proud to be announcing the 10th Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit. Over a decade of uplifting, engaging sport, centred around the important act of remembrance – of our fallen comrades, family members or friends, and to support those who remain, RoR provides a unique opportunity for all to participate in a very special, very poignant pitlane Remembrance Service as one community. We are hugely grateful to the BRSCC and Anglesey Circuit who work so hard to stage this highlight of our sporting year.”
