Motorsport UK at ASI Connect
Motorsport UK is pleased to announce its presence at the first-ever Autosport International (ASI) Connect. Organised by the team behind Autosport International, ASI Connect is an innovative digital networking event for the motorsport industry, taking place on 10-11 March 2021. The online-only event harbours the spirit of Autosport International, delivered in a digital format to bring together the motorsport industry together.
Motorsport UK looks forward to welcoming the motorsport community to our Virtual Booth throughout the two-day event, where team members will be on hand to answer technical and membership queries, plus offer advice on how to get started in the sport, as a competitor, marshal or official.
Beginning at 09.30 on Wednesday 10 March, the show will open with a keynote speech by Motorsport UK CEO, Hugh Chambers, as he discusses the forthcoming season of motorsport and the vision for Motorsport UK into the future.
Following Hugh Chambers’ opening session on the first day, Motorsport UK will be involved in two further sessions on the Thursday of the event.
Diversity in Motorsport will be held on Thursday at 12.30, with Motorsport UK Board Member, EDI Committee Chairman and CEO of W Series, Catherine Bond-Muir joining the panel to discuss what needs to be done to break down barriers to make motorsport a more inclusive sport at all levels.
Safety in the sport will be the final key topic of discussion at the online trade show. Among the debates and interviews taking place, leading figures from the UK governing body, plus vehicle and racewear manufacturers will come together to discuss what’s next in the relentless drive to reduce injuries in the sport. Thursday afternoon’s ‘What’s Next for Safety?’ will be held at 15.30 with Motorsport UK’s Safety, Sporting and Technical Director, John Ryan and Chairman of the Motorsport UK Safety Committee Christopher Tate joining the discussions.
Other themes that will be discussed and debated during the online-only event will include the future power of motorsport, what’s next for historic racing, how can club racing, track days and tracks prosper and finding new talent.
