Joshua Smith commemorates Remembrance Day with support for Help for Heroes
Honda Cadet racer Joshua Smith is showing his support for Help for Heroes this Remembrance Day by switching to a special colour scheme and displaying both the charity’s logos and the Bomb Disposal Badge for November.
Smith, who currently leads the standings in the Hunts Kart Racing Club’s Honda category after five rounds, has a long family history tied to the military, stretching back to his great-grandfather, earning him the nickname ‘Bomber’ at his local circuit, Red Lodge.
Kimbolton Kart Circuit, where Smith also regularly competes, is also a former Second World War Bomber Command facility, further strengthening the young racer’s ties to the Armed Forces.
The 10-year-old was previously chosen as a winner of the FIA Future Stars competition and subsequently a representative of the karting community at the British Grand Prix back in July.
