Sporting
The Sporting department issue permits for individual events, championships, and routes, including stewards and observers’ appointments where appropriate.
The department constantly measures the governance of the sport with a view to protecting fairness and the safety of all participants. Sporting is proactive in reviewing, revising and developing the current landscape of participation, with a view to encouraging greater and sustained enjoyment. By working with Safety and Sporting ensure regulations are relevant, justifiable and cost effective.
Professional administration and support to the wider community, including a high-quality network of support to Clubs and Organisers, is essential to the long-term sustainability of the sport.

Technical
The Technical department provides an efficient and informative customer service to all members. This extends to the maintenance of technical rules and ensures their continued relevance by keeping up to date with evolving technologies.
By providing support for ongoing improvement in technical training and development of officials, we ensure all practices remain current. Additionally, the department executes an efficient service for processing and approval of a vast array of technical documentation and maintains a close liaison with manufacturers, including services for vehicle, component and safety equipment homologations.

Safety
The Safety department provides the safest possible environment for everyone who engages in motorsport through the governing body. This could be as a competitor, official, marshal or spectator.
The department provides pre-event documentation prepared to the highest standard and accessible for all members. By maintaining a close liaison with insurers, motorsport venues and manufacturers, risk can be reduced or eliminated. Managing the risk motorsport poses is key to maintaining insurance cover at a sustainable cost for the sport.
Safety also delivers via continued research new technologies to assist and improve safety at motorsport events.

Learning and Development
The Learning and Development Team provide support to a wide range of our members. Our clubs and regions provide the framework for this support across the whole of the UK. Through seminars, webinars, toolkits and guidance materials we enable them to operate as professionals when supporting their members. Our competitors are clearly an extremely important part of our work and through the development of a skills-based curriculum supported by national and regional coaches, we will support all our competitors whether they are working towards elite status or working towards achieving their personal best.
All events can only be delivered through the dedication of our amazing volunteer officials and marshals. The team provide the training and development pathways to enable them to deliver high standards of marshalling and officiating at events across the whole of the UK, as well as providing their expertise to events around the world. Our trainers, instructors and coaches deliver learning and development interventions across the UK as well as providing training and consultancy to other motorsport ASNs (National Sporting Authorities) around the world as one of the FIA’s Regional Training Providers.
Our educational programme starts with primary STEM subjects delivered through our Girls on Track programme, this is complemented by our motorsport coach qualifications, the development of our motorsport medical qualifications and a future motorsport UK endorsement package.

Marketing & Communications
The Marketing and Communications department is continuously developing the variety of ways in which the organisation connects with and engages the motorsport community, fans, media, the wider public and other external stakeholders, to enhance the visibility of motorsport and those who participate in it.
The department has a dual role in that it develops and leads the strategic direction, design and delivery of all aspects of Motorsport UK’s marketing, brand and communications related activities, and at the same time provides transversal support to the other departments within the organisation, supporting the achievement of shared objectives in areas such as member engagement, promotion and brand development.

Commercial, Membership & Events
The Commercial Department is focused on maximising sustainable revenues, leveraging the assets of Motorsport UK and working with external funding and marketing partners to generate additional revenues to enhance the work of the governing body.
The team also includes Membership who are a highly professional and customer led service department responsive to the needs of Motorsport UK members seeking to join or renew their association with the governing body.
As part of the Department our Events team deliver the events that excite, inspire, engage and sustain the community.

Legal, Regulatory and Safeguarding
The Legal Department is responsible for managing the commercial and business affairs of the company as well as developing and sustaining a governance structure that maintains the transparency, accountability and integrity of the organisation.
The Regulatory team helps governs motorsport in the UK maintaining standards in the sport as well as ensuring safety and fair play for its members, clubs, officials and volunteers.
The safeguarding team is focused on protecting all children, young people and adults at risk, who are involved in the sport, which is an integral part of our commitment to their safety and wellbeing. So too is our commitment to promoting a clear and accessible pathway and encouraging any person or child to participate in all aspects of motorsport without hindrance, barrier or prejudice and ensuring the organisation is at the forefront of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Operations and Facilities
The Operations team supports the day to day running of Motorsport UK HQ encompassing all building maintenance and statutory compliance, provision of appropriate IT infrastructure and of line of business software solutions in addition to general administrative support.

Finance
The finance department ensures the business is run efficiently, setting the budget for the company, playing a proactive role in the management of overall finances of the organisation in a prudent and responsible manner and where required identifying alternative revenue streams.
