Coaching Conversations

Launching across April, May, and June 2025, join us for a new series of webinars for coaches and instructors working in any discipline of motorsport, who are looking to learn, connect, innovate and collaborate.

Are you a coach or instructor wanting to develop your knowledge, skills, and understanding of coaching?

Do you want to improve the way you support drivers to be at their best?

Are you looking to join a community of coaches and instructors with a common purpose of wanting to innovate and think progressively about coaching in motorsport?

If so, then our new ‘Coaching Conversations’ social learning space is for you.

Coaching conversations will run it’s first series of sessions across April, May, and June 2025, and is open (and free) for anyone involved in coaching and instructing drivers. Across the five weeks we will cover a range of topics and themes supporting you to be the best coach you can be. The themes of the session will be built around:

  • Understanding-self
  • Understanding the driver
  • Understanding your coaching practice
  • Understanding the coaching environment

 

Why take part?

Learning & Development: Coaching Conversations will offer a space for you to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of coaching through shared practice and connection with other coaches and instructors

Develop your coaching identity: Taking part in Coaching Conversations will help you reflect on your current approach to coaching, and support you to shape your own sense of identity as a coach or instructor.

Engage with expertise: Coaching Conversations will create the opportunity to draw on the collective expertise of the group, solving problems and coaching challenges together.

Peer Support: Access to a network of peers, who understand and share the challenges related to coaching and instructing.

Innovation: By taking part in Coaching Conversations, you will be able to engage with diverse perspectives and approaches to coaching, helping you develop creative and new approaches to supporting drivers.

 

What is the format?

Coaching Conversations will take place on a fortnightly basis through April, May, and June. Each of the webinars will last 90 minutes, and be hosted online via Microsoft Teams. The webinars will be facilitated by a member of the Motorsport UK Competitor Development Team, and be built around the needs and interests of the group. During the webinars you will be able to enjoy:

  • Interactive discussions
  • Deep Dive in to specific topics
  • Sharing best practice
  • Developing new skills

 

Dates and Times

The webinars are built on the principles of connection, community, and learning. We would encourage you to attend the webinars with the intent to take an active role in your own learning and development.

How to register

To take part in Coaching Conversations, all you need to do is register your place using the link below. We recommend you joining as many of the webinars as possible, but you are also welcome to attend any individual sessions that interest you most.

The webinar link will be sent to you on the morning of each session.
