Coach and Competitor Development Manager

Salary Range: £35,000 – £37,000 pa

An opportunity has arisen to join the Motorsport UK team as a Coach and Competitor Development Manager

This is a key role to ensure that Motorsport UK’s Coach and Competitor development opportunities and programmes are accessible and inclusive to all who have the ability and potential.  The successful candidate will deliver a clear, accessible and sustainable coach and competitor development plan resulting in a greater number of qualified coaches which, in turn, will impact positively on participation, enjoyment and engagement.

Training and Development Coordinator

Salary Range: £28,000 – £30,000 pa

An opportunity has arisen to join the Motorsport UK team as a Training and Development Coordinator.

The goal for the Volunteer & Competitor Development Team is to develop a culture emphasising quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance with an ability to handle all Learning and Development matters relating to our volunteer Marshals and Officials, Regions, and Clubs. 

The Training & Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and delivering long-term recruitment, retention, recognition and training programmes to ensure there are sufficient competent volunteers to support permitted events. 

Please note that this role specifically looks after the training and development of our Officials, Marshals, Regions and Clubs, and not involved with Staff Human Resource development. As such, prior experience within sport or volunteer development and/or any motorsport experience, is desirable.

Technical Support Coordinator

Salary Range: £28,000 – £30,000 pa

An opportunity has arisen to join the Motorsport UK team as a Technical Support Coordinator.

Motorsport UK’s Technical Department provides an efficient and informative customer service to all members. This extends to the maintenance of technical rules and ensures their continued relevance by keeping up to date with evolving technologies.

The department is responsible for management and continual development of technical regulations, approval and registration of competition vehicles and equipment, training, and support for the volunteer network of Technical Officials and providing services for vehicle, component, and safety equipment homologations.

These services are fundamental to the sport and ensuring a safe, fun, and fair environment.

Central to delivering these services is the Technical Support Coordinator who will play a key role in delivering technical customer service for Motorsport UK members.

Sporting Assistant

Salary Range: £28,000 – £30,000 pa

An opportunity has arisen to join the Motorsport UK team as a Sporting Assistant.

The Sporting department at Motorsport UK plays a key role in facilitating a safe, fair, and fun experience for the motorsport community. This involves ensuring the governance and regulations of the sport are relevant and suitable, as well as reviewing the current landscape of participation, with a view to encouraging greater and sustained enjoyment.

The Sporting Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day functioning of the Sporting department, placing a particular emphasis supporting the Circuit-Sport disciplines and specifically assisting the Head of Race and Speed with management of the continued success of Circuit Racing and the Speed Event Disciplines.

The team constantly measures the governance of the sport with a view to protecting fairness and the safety of all participants. Sporting is proactive in reviewing, revising, and developing the current landscape of participation, with a view to encouraging greater and sustained enjoyment. By working with Safety and Sporting ensure regulations are relevant, justifiable, and cost effective with a focus on development of discipline strategies.

Professional administration and support to the wider community, including a high-quality network of support to Clubs and Organisers, is essential to the long-term sustainability of the sport.

Applications open for Motorsport UK Committee and Advisory Group Members  

If you would like to shape the future of motorsport in the UK then now is your chance.  

Our Discipline and Cross-Discipline Committees represent the various branches of the sport, tasked with the developing strategic and tactical initiatives to inform the Council and the Board with plans for the development and future of motorsport.  

The Committees are supported by the Executive team at Motorsport UK, who are jointly responsible, along with the Chair of the Committee, for the strategic direction of Committee work and the successful realisation of work by the Committees.  

The Committee roles listed below are entirely voluntary; however, expenses will be paid to cover travel to and from Committee meetings. These are held up to three times per year.  

Meetings in person are held at the offices of Motorsport UK in Bicester and through the year will be a mix of in person, hybrid and online only. Appointments are for up to three years, with new members initially serving a probationary term.
