About Us
Bournemouth & District Car Club offers a range of Motorsport events in the Dorset area throughout the year, which are suitable for both novice and experienced competitors and also volunteer Marshals.
The Club has a diverse membership, and continues to successfully encourage new members of all ages. Whilst The Clubs social calendar has been curtailed recently, the website is regularly updated, there is a monthly bulletin distributed by email, and an active social media presence.
Entry level Motorsport is provided by Production Car Autotests, some on smooth grass fields, others on tarmac, but all offering the chance to drive at your own limit, over a set course in non damaging conditions. These are ideal events for beginners, although many of our more experienced drivers take part, to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great value for money. Suitable for ordinary road cars and not requiring any modifications. Offering a full day of competition for a £40 entry fee Autotests are probably the cheapest form of Motorsport available and are great fun!
Twice a year a Sprint is held at the Clay Pigeon circuit near Dorchester. A timed speed event over the compact and challenging tarmac course. Suitable for novice or experienced drivers, there is a class for almost every type of car from standard unmodified shopping cars through to specialist single seaters running slick tyres and wings. Basic safety equipment is required such as helmet, racing overalls and gloves. During the day competitors usually have the opportunity of five timed runs on the course.
Two of the Clubs largest events are Single Venue Tarmac Stage Rallies held at a large test site in Dorset which was recently described as the UK version of the famous Nürburgring. The site provides opportunity for competitors to drive at speed on special stages round the network of smooth roads. Rally cars of all types, including Historic, Clubmans or specialist 4 wheel drive are eligible, with crews traveling from all over the UK to compete. The event is supported by a large contingent of volunteer marshalls, timekeepers, radio crew and officials, many of whom are Club Members.
The Club does have a great reputation for providing well organized, good value Grass Roots events. The Committee are all active competitors and keen to welcome new ideas.

About Us
Bristol Motor Club was formed in 1911 and runs cost-effective events for its members. Every year, we run sprints at Castle Combe Circuit and Llandow Circuit, a weekend at Wiscombe Park Hillclimb, AutoSOLOs , the Allen Classic Trial, the Roy Fedden Sporting Trial, NavScatters around Bristol and a bunch of social events.
In the past we've had F1 drivers in our membership, but we've mainly focussed on accessibility for everyone. To that end, we fostered the discipline of AutoSOLO in 2002 and started the Bristol MX5 Challenge in 2014, where you can win a prestigious championship with entry fees from £50. We also realise that competing isn't for everyone and we try to make our events free to spectate as well as helping those who want to be involved as marshals, organisers and officials.
Being over 100 years old, the club is steeped in history, starting new venues at Castle Combe Circuit and Thruxton Aerodrome in the 1950s, taking entries from names such as Moss, Hawthorn and Salvadori. Despite this, we're very much a club of tomorrow, innovating with new ideas and always trying to improve. We listen to our members and help them make the club fill their motorsport needs.
Find out more about the club at bristolmc.org.uk or look us up on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

About the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club
The Bristol Pegasus Motor Club is a long established club that aims to promote a wide variety of motor sport events, both social and competitive, All the competitive events require nothing more than a standard production car.
Club membership is open to anybody with an interest in motoring and motor sport.
Club activities include organising competitive events such as sprints, production car trials, autotests, navigation scatters and treasure hunts. Social activities include club nights with guest speakers, karting evenings, Honda pilot racing, factory visits and gatherings at local pubs.
The club was first formed in 1944 as the Bristol Aeroplane Company Motor Sports Club. In 1945 it was involved in the first two speed events to be held in Britain after the war, organising the second on Filton Airfield. At this time the club also had a major effect on the future of British motor sport as it was responsible for the introduction of a new formula for 500cc racing cars, later to become Formula 3.
From 1955, revived as the Bristol Aeroplane Company Motor Club, and initially rallying orientated, the club has continued to provide a variety of motor sporting activities.
In December 2000 the club changed its name to the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club, to reflect the fact that it caters for all motor sport enthusiasts in Bristol. Pegasus was chosen as the club name to provide a link with the Pegasus featured on the club badge for many years and the successful Pegasus sprint which the club organises at Castle Combe circuit.
Today the clubs competition activities are biased towards on-track speed events for cars. For the past 25 years the club has been actively co-organising sprint meetings at Colerne airfield near Bath, including the regular August round of the British National Sprint Championship.
While catering for the more experienced competitor, one of the clubs main objectives is to encourage newcomers to motor sport with their standard road cars, and all of our events - Sprints, Trials, Autotests, Navigational events, & a Castle Combe Track Day - are arranged with this in mind.
The club is affiliated to Motorsport UK and is a member of the Association of South Western Motor Clubs (ASWMC), the Association of West Midlands Motor Clubs (AWMMC) and the Association of Central Southern Motor Clubs (ACSMC).
