About Us

The Harper Adams Off-Road Club is for those students who will not shy away from getting muddy, wet and engaging full sends all in the name of a good time. We offer a comprehensive introduction to the sport that is off-roading no matter your level of previous experience. If you haven’t had anything to do with off-roading before, do not worry, many of us hadn’t either!

We hope to provide an opportunity for every enthusiast to get involved, whether it be on the off-road track, in the workshop or rattling around in the back of a truck down a green lane.

We hold regular events open to all members that can be found on the SU website including trials on the university Off-Road track using our capable Land Rover 90 ‘Challenge Truck’ or the occasional venture further afield on green lane trips.

If it’s the social life you’re after we organise weekly pub socials for an opportunity to have a drink and steer clear of those muddy puddles – or not.

The Off-Road club is known to many big name companies and groups for its regular competitive attendance at Motorsport UK and All Wheel Drive Club events.

Those off-timetables Wednesday afternoons are reserved for Workshop Wednesdays – repairing and upgrading our club vehicles ensuring they can make it to as many events as possible.

About Us

HMC was founded in May 1950 by a group of keen motorsport enthusiasts to enjoy driving cars to their limit on organised events, followed by beer & banter!

We are a club for motorsport enthusiasts, whether that it is competing, organising, marshalling or just spectating. HMC is a great place to socialise and get involved.
We run events for all levels of experience and budget, starting with the club autotests, autosolos & navagational scatter rallies all the way through to a national level autotest and a well respected stage rally.

We have a good social scene in the club, with our regular club night on the first Tuesday of each month, various trips and events culminating in the annual awards presentation & dance, attracting over 100 members!

If you love motorsport and would like to get involved come down to one of our club nights, first Tuesday of the month, The Richmond Place Club, Edgar Street, Hereford, from 8pm.

About Us

The Hillclimb and Sprint Association is the leading club for competitors, spectators, officials and enthusiasts of the sport of Speed Hillclimbing and Sprinting in the UK. Its aims are to promote the sport by representing the interests of all involved and to encourage new entrants into our form of motor sport, which is arguably one of the cheapest ways to compete in motor sports today.

Run by members for members with no employed staff, the HSA publishes Speedscene magazine, the only journal in the UK dedicated to Hillclimbing and Sprinting, runs a popular Speed Championship at venues across England and Wales and maintains an active web site covering many aspects of the sport.

Membership of the HSA has many advantages:

Speedscene magazine delivered to your door 5 times a year

A comprehensive web site resource

Invitations to compete at many club events throughout the UK

Members can enter the SBD/HSA Speed
Championship

Local group meetings and test days

Access to an active committee, most of whom compete regularly, for help and advice

To apply for membership just complete the application form on the rear and post to our membership secretary with your cheque. You may also apply online at www.hillclimbandsprint.co.uk

About Us

The Historic Grand Prix Cars Association
The International Association
for owners and drivers of Historic Grand Prix cars

The Historic Grand Prix Cars Association was founded in 1979 by a group of leading Historic Racing enthusiasts and established itself as the organisation for Historic Grand Prix races in Europe.

Its inaugural event, the support race at the 1979 French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard, was particularly memorable for the tremendous fun of racing at such a congenial location and a circuit compatible for the performance of “proper” Grand Prix cars. There followed every year races in Germany, Sweden, Holland, Belgium and Italy and support races for prestigious UK series such as Lloyds & Scottish, the European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch and many more.

In 1991 the first Association-inspired International Historic Grand Prix Race Meeting took place at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit which became “The” premier Historic Racing event in the UK. In 1999 the HGPCA extended its racing to incorporate rear engine cars built before 1966 and later created races specifically for drum-braked sports-cars of the 1950s.
