How to StreetCar Festival…
Keen to get involved in grassroots motorsport? Not sure where to start?! Come along to our first StreetCar Festival on 8 September, explore our Bicester Motion home and bring the family – there’s something for everyone to enjoy…
Tickets are £10 per person, and £5 for 14-17 year olds, plus booking fee. Children under 14 are free when accompanied by an adult pass holder but do require a pass. Each ticket includes a hot beverage.
What can I expect on the day?
We have a range of StreetCar activities planned for the day – for which you can take part in your own car! Several of these activities will require you to purchase an add-on to your entrance ticket.
What are each of the different disciplines?
Tickets still remain for our Touring Assembly, led by local motor club, South Oxon Car Club. The planned route will offer drivers a 50 mile scenic tour starting and finishing at Bicester Motion which entries will navigate with an easy to follow Tulip road book. Drivers will use their own vehicle to take part.
Staying on site, for the adventurous, Aylesbury Landrover Fanatics, will lead the Punch Hunt. Drivers will need their own 4×4 vehicle to take part in the course, which will be planned around Bicester Motion’s off-road track. Similar to a trials event, teams will navigate the course and be required to collect ‘punches’ on a piece of card, from hole punches tied to various trees and obstacles. Competitors cannot leave the confines of their vehicle to get a punch. Tickets also still remain.
Attendees can also try out the AutoSOLO, during which they will manoeuvre their own vehicle around a series of slaloms and longer turns, testing precision and skill. Again, this element will need an add-on ticket to take part.
With UK car club entrants trying out the AutoSOLO test on the day, using the same format but under test conditions.
Table Top Rally is the final discipline at StreetCar Festival. Led by pioneering rally organisation, HERO-ERA, and supported by Blackpalfrey Motor Club the Table Top Rally exposes road rally navigators to the kinds of tips and tricks that rally organisers may use when planning a route.
What other surprises are in store?
Fun activities for smaller StreetCar attendees, a variety of displays from our UK-wide StreetCar clubs and a range of different food and beverage options are just some of the surprises you can expect on the day.
Keep an eye out as we will be announcing these during the run-up to the festival!
