Motorsport UK’s StreetCar is joining forces with Scramblers, a new automotive movement born from the success of Scramble events at Bicester Heritage, for a spectacular summer Sunday of AutoSOLO and Treasure Hunt activities on 23 July.

StreetCar is an accessible, entry-level route into motorsport. Using your everyday road car, all that’s required is the free-of-charge Motorsport UK RS Clubman Licence. The two popular StreetCar disciplines on show at the event – AutoSOLO and Treasure Hunt – are safe, fun and social ways of partaking in the sport, with no experience or specific equipment required.

The aim of an AutoSOLO is simple: navigate cones, slalom sections and longer turns on a sealed-surface course in the quickest time possible! With demonstrations taking place at Motorsport UK’s Bicester Heritage headquarters, attendees will have the opportunity to sit alongside a skilled driver for an insight into this great entry to motorsport.

Treasure Hunts are one of the many StreetCar disciplines run on public roads, with speeds rarely exceeding 30mph, and involve teams being given a set of clues or a list of items to collect in various places in a specific area. It’s then up to the teams – made up of a driver and co-driver but with additional passengers occasionally allowed – to determine their own route to reach the various plot points necessary within the time limit.

On Sunday, participants will navigate their way through the stunning Oxfordshire countryside, passing through picturesque villages and lanes along the way, all while answering a variety of challenging and fun questions. The destination, Silverstone’s Interactive Museum, is worth the trip alone. It celebrates the history of the circuit and British motorsport, with legendary cars on display throughout, plus other exhibits. A goodie bag also awaits!

The free Motorsport UK RS Clubman Licence is required to enter AutoSOLOs, Treasure Hunts and the vast range of other grassroots StreetCar motorsport events on offer. Additionally, the licence grants you 25% off admission tickets to the Silverstone Interactive Museum.

Additional Assembly passes, required for entry to Bicester Heritage, can be purchased for £5.
